These songs have been knocking around for years in different forms, structures and bands.
The initial recordings were born out of panic. Clifford Draper and I were starting up and a new band in 2017 and trying to find our sound. Working with just drums and guitar we whipped up these tunes in a hurry. However this sound wasn't meant to be, and we went in other directions with new musicians with us.
Now with some time and perspective I can look back and see how good these songs were and see the path our band could have taken.

I have to thank Jordan Forst for all of his advice and guidance on this project. And as always thanks to Clifford Draper.

Bitter Greens are a mess of loud jangly guitars, thrift store keyboards and broken beats. We call it garage pop.

All the material was written and performed by Justin Eslinger.

For 20 years Justin has played punk, country and gospel music. All of that gets tossed in the hopper with touches of 80s college rock and 90s indie rock.
